POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role you will work with our partners and their customers to help them claim the R&D tax credit using our technology-driven solution. You will focus on moving projects through our operations process to complete all tax credit work. In addition, you will support Clarus R+D’s internal and external partner marketing efforts. Our internal marketing efforts are focused on our partner portal. Our external marketing efforts are focused on webinars and related marketing initiatives.

As partner account manager, you will be responsible for meeting monthly and annual KPIs while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. We’re looking for a detail-oriented customer services professional who values productivity and customer engagement. Someone who enjoys discussing business issues and can help entrepreneurs understand the ROI of our exclusive offering. A successful partner account manager is dedicated to providing value to business owners and positions themselves as an expert consultant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Alliance Partner Account Management:

  • Assume primary account management responsibility for a portfolio of Clarus R+D alliance partner customers.
  • Set up kickoff call and document all details.
  • With appropriate followup, move partners and customers through the operations process to complete R&D studies.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key points of contact within the partner and customer organizations through phone calls and providing info in a timely manner.
  • Coach and hold partners and customers accountable to crucial tax deadlines and KPIs.
  • Clearly communicate and report on partner and customer progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consult the partner account executive for support and direction when major challenges arise.
  • Forecast and track all key metrics, customer contracts, and sales records in Salesforce.com.

Partner Portal Administration:

  • Assume ownership and management of the partner portal.
  • Maintain accuracy of information in the partner portal, including conducting a weekly audit of data.
  • Drive efforts to obtain missing information and enter it into the partner portal.
  • As new prospective partners and new leads are registered, review initial submissions and direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Monitor leads to make sure each has been engaged and the appropriate sales followup has taken place.
  • Clearly and consistently communicate partner portal status to VP of Partner Programs.

Co-marketing Partner Support:

  • At the direction of the partner owner, coordinate marketing initiatives for co-marketing partners.
  • Work closely with marketing team to create and deliver partner blog posts, press releases, and email campaigns.
  • Drive the completion of successful webinars by scheduling and managing the event, including working with the marketing team to build and coordinate pre- and post-webinar followup campaigns.

In General:

  • Document all tasks and next steps in Salesforce.com.
  • Provide ongoing communication and reporting (via Salesforce.com or as directed) to VP of Partner Programs.
  • Assist in building and improving Clarus R+D’s overall partner offering.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1-3 years account management or customer service experience in a structured sales environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple prospects with timely followup.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in prior positions.
  • Proven success dealing with decision makers and, in particular, business owners and entrepreneurs.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills supported by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong and confident phone presence.
  • Experience with activity and task tracking in Salesforce.com.
  • Detail-oriented with project management experience.
  • High energy, positive, and achievement driven.
  • Takes direction but is a self-starter who works independently toward goals.
  • Partner/channel experience working within the financial technology space is a big plus.
  • Experience working with CPAs and accounting firms is a big plus.
