POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and expanding partner relationships and building Clarus R+D’s overall partner program. We primarily partner with accounting firms but also work with tax incentive firms, financial advisors, investors, payroll providers, and more. This position is hands on with full individual responsibility to drive revenue from our various partners.

The ideal individual enjoys discussing business issues and can help partners understand the ROI of our exclusive offering. Executive presence and the ability to gain the attention and respect of business leaders is critical. A successful partner account executive is dedicated to providing value to partners and positions themselves as an expert consultant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish New Partnerships:

  • Prospect via email, phone, LinkedIn, and occasionally in-person to set up phone meetings with new prospective partners.
  • Manage inbound leads pipeline from past relationships, general inquiries, website traffic, etc. and set up phone meetings with potential new partners.
  • Lead partner sales calls to convey our value propositions to prospects with the goal of establishing a signed partnership deal.
  • Facilitate software demos with our expert team for alliance and expert partners.
  • Follow up with prospects via email, HubSpot, and phone to close deals.
  • Send proposals and contracts via PandaDoc.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas by closing business.

Expand Relationships with Referral, Alliance, and Expert Partners:

  • Reach out to signed partners via email, phone, and occasionally in-person to educate and build relationships to increase the number of leads provided.
  • Educate partners on their partner portal including lead submission, processes, marketing support, and status of our work together.
  • Schedule and complete quarterly check-in calls with very active partners.

    In General:

    • Document all tasks and next steps in Salesforce.com.
    • Track all partner leads and sales activity.
    • Provide ongoing communication and reporting (via Salesforce.com or as directed) to VP of Partner Programs.
    • Assist in building and improving Clarus R+D’s overall partner offering.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5-10+ years of partner/channel experience working in the SaaS space.
    • Experience working within the financial technology space with CPAs and accounting firms is a big plus.
    • Experience dealing with decision makers, especially small business owners and entrepreneurs.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong and confident phone presence.
    • Ability to learn quickly and communicate product/service value proposition.
    • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple prospects with timely, responsive followup.
    • High energy, positive, and achievement driven.
    • Takes direction but is a self-starter who works independently toward goals.
    • Experience with activity and task tracking in Salesforce.com is preferred.
    • Willingness to travel as needed for client visits and conferences (roughly 5-10% of the time).
